The National Executive Board and the National Women’s Committee are pleased to present this report for
discussion at the 2007 Regional Conferences.
Although we have made some progress in addressing barriers to women, it is clear we have more work to do.
Subtle and not-so-subtle impediments to women’s participation continue to exist. The dialogue that began in
one region gives us an opportunity to examine practices and attitudes that cause us to lose valuable
resources.
We thank the sisters and brothers that participated in this consultation for their courage and
thoughtfulness. Your reflections can help us move forward.
