You’ve all received the employer’s letter dated February 11th about the bi‑weekly pay system.
And you’re probably wondering if the Union agreed to have the employer hold back two weeks of your pay.
THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION IS CLEAR AND SIMPLE: ABSOLUTELY
NOT!
I can assure you on behalf of the National Executive Board that the Union never agreed with the arrears
system.
For the union, the issue of a bi-weekly pay system was always clear and simple, and still is. Our position
is that to make it easier for you financially, you should get your annual pay over 26 pay periods, not
12.
Unfortunately, the employer doesn’t agree! By holding back two weeks of your pay, Canada Post
is making it harder for everyone to make ends meet in these times of economic crisis. The union is
currently in discussions with Canada Post and will keep you informed of developments.
I guarantee you we’re doing everything we can to force the employer to reverse its decision. And
we’re going to do it using our collective strength.
LET CANADA POST KNOW YOU DON’T AGREE WITH ITS ARREARS SYSTEM. CALL THE CANADA POST PAY CONTACT CENTRE
