Although the employer recognizes the need for a more effective way of understanding the hours worked by its employees, it refuses to consider the best means of collecting and using the available information. In so doing, the employer is violating the provisions of the Collective Agreement.

The Union asks for a statement to the effect that the employer is violating the provisions of the Collective Agreement. Furthermore, the Union asks the employer for $60,000.00, plus interest, to cover the expense of carrying a study for the above-mentioned purpose. The Union requests the employer be ordered to compensate the Union and employees, with interest, for any inconvenience caused to them as a result of the employer’s conduct. Finally, the Union reserves the right to amend this grievance, and/or request any other corrective action it may deem appropriate.
