The Canada Post Corporation (CPC) is organizing meetings with the employees during working hours. At these meetings, the employer is encouraging discussions and is discussing working conditions with the employees in the bargaining unit. The employer is violating Article 3 and others of the collective agreement as well as the relevant legislation.

In accordance with the powers conferred upon the arbitrator under the collective agreement, the Union requests a statement to the effect that the employer has violated the collective agreement and the relevant legislation. The Union also requests an order asking CPC to cease and desist from conducting meetings with the employees for the purpose of discussing working conditions. CUPW asks that the arbitrator order the employer to pay exemplary damages to the Union and to post the arbitrator’s decision in a location where it is visible to all employees. The Union reserves the right to amend the grievance and to request any additional corrective action.
