RSMC - Ergo Assistants - A Project to Find a Solution

June 11, 2009  -  14:30

RSMC / Bulletin

2008-2011/150

An interim agreement has been reached with Canada Post to establish a special Committee that will attempt to resolve the outstanding issues of ergonomic assistants.

The Committee will begin working on June 16 and will continue for a period of 3 weeks.  During that time frame, requests for an ergonomic assistant will be reviewed on a case by case basis, taking into consideration the variables that exist in each situation.  Canada Post will not make an initial determination on providing an ergonomic assistant without first seeking the opinion of the Union.

Additional information will be provided as the process proceeds.

In solidarity,

Denis Lemelin
National President
