Are you a CUPW member who is 30 or under?

    Are you:

    • Interested in International Solidarity?
    • Willing to learn more about Cuba?
    • Eager to meet with Cuban postal workers to discuss and learn about challenges and opportunities for young workers?
    • Willing to commit to working in CUPW to take action on youth issues and / or International Solidarity?

If you have answered yes to all of these questions, consider applying to be a CUPW Representative to the CUPW 2010 May Day Delegation to Cuba.

The delegation will travel to Cuba in late April 2010 and will return in May 2010. Exact dates are still to be determined. Once they are determined this information will be made available.

The overall goals of the delegation are to increase knowledge of and commitment to International Solidarity, to work together with Cuban trade unionists on issues and opportunities facing young workers and to assist in the development of a CUPW -SNTCIE (Communications Workers Union of Cuba) solidarity project.

The delegates will meet with representatives of the SNTCIE to share experiences and develop ideas to increase youth involvement. CUPW will select members to participate in this exciting event. CUPW will cover transportation, hotel, travel and loss of wage costs.

You will be expected to provide a written report, and to work to promote International Solidarity and / or youth issues and actions within our Union, upon your return.

If you are interested, please fill out the attached application form and either mail it to:
