It is with deep regret that we mark the passing of Brother Claude Leblond, of Saint-Jérôme, Québec, on Sunday, August 5, 2001.

Brother Leblond was a dedicated union member, who worked as a Union Representative from 1977 to 1980, as the Regional Grievance Officer for Québec from 1980 to 1983, as a National Director in 1983 and 1984, and as President of the Saint-Jérôme Local from 1984 to 1989. Afterwards, he continued being involed in union activities. Until his brief illness, he continued to work on behalf of his Local, tireless in devotion to the work.

Brother Lelond chaired the Board of Directors of the Faubourg Centre, a crisis and suicide prevention centre in the Laurentian area of Québec. Donations in his memory can be sent to the centre at the following address:

Brother Leblond will be greatly missed by friends, family, co-workers, and his union brothers and sisters.
