Assigning Seniority (Ontario Region)

November 15, 2007  -  08:00

Collective Agreement / Bulletin

2005-2008/326

The seniority review work in your region has now reached the second stage.

Since November 13, 2007, the Canada Post Corporation has been sending letters confirming seniority dates to employees in the Ontario Region who have asked for a review of their seniority date. The date included in this letter is based on the employee’s personal file and on documents forwarded to the working committee.

You have 14 calendar days following receipt of this letter to appeal the decision. If you decide to appeal, you must prove that the working committee has made an error or omission in determining your seniority date. As such, you must include all documents proving an employment relationship existed to enable us to revise the working committee’s decision. If you fail to include this essential documentary evidence, the working committee’s decision will be maintained.

In solidarity,

Jean-Claude Girard
National Union Representative - Grievances (French) (1999-2011)
