Inspection checklist

June 23, 2005  -  09:00

Health and Safety / Memo

To All Local Presidents,

Attached you will find copies of an inspection checklist which has been agreed upon at the National Joint Health and Safety Committee for use during inspections in your Local. This is the first inspection checklist of this type that has been agreed to with Canada Post. The Union is aware that there may be items that may not be relevant to your Local; these items should be marked not applicable (N/A). There may also be some items that require noting in your Local which do not appear on the checklist, these additional items should be listed in the space provided or added as an attachment.

Upon completion of these inspection checklists, the Local Joint Health and Safety Committee are to confirm that they are attached to the Local Joint Health and Safety Committee meeting minutes.

Please ensure that this inspection checklist is copied and distributed to all CUPW Local Joint Health and Safety Committee Members so they can use the form during their regular inspections of the workplace.

As always, should you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me as your convenience.

In Solidarity,

Gayle Bossenberry
National Union Representative
