The Corporation is unilaterally amending the work method by adding a new function for RSMC use to scan the barcode on the Delivery Control Slip (DCS) with no amendment to the monetary or other values that are provided for in the activity component of Appendix “A” of the collective agreement. In so doing, the Corporation is not recognizing or compensating the new activity component in the Appendix “A”. The employer is making this change to working conditions in violation of the provisions of the collective agreement.
The Union requests a statement to the effect that the employer is violating the Collective Agreement.
The Union also requests that the employer be ordered to recognize a new value in Appendix “A”, with all the rights and benefits that this entails.
The Union further requests that Canada Post be ordered to pay damages (with interest) for any prejudice that has been or will be suffered by the Union and its members as a result of these violations.
The Union reserves the right to request any additional corrective action it deems appropriate and also reserves the right to amend this grievance.
