Child Enrichment Centre and Churchill Park Family Care SocietyChild care you deserve

High quality. Flexible. Affordable. That’s the kind of child care most UPCE-PSAC and CUPW members say they need – but can’t find.

CUPW and UPCE-PSAC families in Calgary have access to the child care they need and deserve, thanks to our innovative Child Care Fund project.

Child Care Connections gives UPCE-PSAC and CUPW member’s access to a wide range of child care programs designed to suit their family’s schedules and provides dependable and quality child care.

That means having peace of mind while you’re at work. And that means a lot.

Quality

The Child Enrichment Centre, a non-profit community-based child care program, provides overall coordination for the Child Care Fund project’s in group and family day home child care services. All programs conform to Alberta’s child care regulations.

Every program guarantees quality care through:

• A stated philosophy that emphasizes non-profit, quality child care.

• Qualified, experienced caregivers

• A safe and secure environment

• Small group sizes to ensure each child receives individual attention

• An emphasis on learning through playing and solving problems co-operatively

• Open and ongoing communications between caregivers and parents

• Nutritionally sound meals and snacks

Flexibility

Family day home care

Churchill Park is a non-profit child care society that offers city-wide family day home services for children aged 0–12 years.

Experienced caregivers provide child care in a warm, nurturing home environment. Care is provided in non-smoking, clean and safe households. Children receive nutritious snacks and lunch.

Caregivers receive in-home support and supervision from Churchill Park to ensure quality programming.

Through Churchill Park, qualified families have access to government child care subsidies, which may supplement the UPCE-PSAC and CUPW subsidies.

Churchill Park offers flexible hours and assistance with alternate care arrangements, though alternate care cannot be guaranteed.

The program provides inclusive care for children with special needs. It works with the Supported Child Care Program and parents to ensure each family’s child care needs are met.

Summer care for school age children

In the summer, Churchill Park day home providers offer a small group setting in a relaxed atmosphere for school-age children. Providers ensure that children have a well-rounded day, with inside and outside play, as well as field trips.
