The Union of Taxation Employees (UTE) held its convention from July 16 to 19. There was a resolution on the agenda to send UTE’s mail by email rather than the postal system. Before debate began on this resolution, the National President reminded delegates that UTE supports door-to-door delivery. As a result, Convention delegates were almost unanimous in rejecting the resolution. We can definitely count on UTE as an ally in our current fight to preserve the universal public postal service.
