We are coming up to the final phase of the wage adjustment for Pay Equity. As of now, we are on course for the payment to be released sometime in October. Phase 3 payment will include payments for Rest Period Allowance, PCIs and Admail. RSMCs will also see adjustments on their Schedule A for activity values for PCIs and Lock Changes.

On June 17, 2019, the Canadian government declared a climate emergency, passing a motion through parliament calling climate change a “real and urgent crisis, driven by human activity.” This doesn’t shock us. We already know that our country is warming up twice as fast as the rest of the world and that it is becoming increasingly difficult for our planet to breathe.

In April 2019, Canada Post, the Association of Postal Officials of Canada, the Canadian Postmasters and Assistants Association, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, and the Union of Postal Communications Employees formally initiated a collaborative effort focused on the environment.

It has officially begun... Fellow Foodora workers – On Wednesday, July 31st at 4:15pm, Foodsters United (CUPW) filed an application for certification of our union to the Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB). A package was also delivered to Foodora HQ by a delegation of workers. This is a historic moment for couriers and gig workers in Ontario. We will now have a vote on Thursday to win our right to have our union certified!
