Statement

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers grieves that the employer is in violation of article 2 and other applicable provisions of the Rural And Suburban Mail Carriers collective agreement in that it is requiring some of the employees covered by this collective agreement to provide their fingerprints to Canada Post.

Corrective Steps Requested

That the employer immediately cease requiring employees to provide fingerprints, that any fingerprints provided by employees be returned to the employee who provided them, that employees be reimbursed any amounts (including interest) spent by them to obtain and forward their fingerprints and that other appropriate remedies be granted.

The Union also reserves the right to amend this grievance.
