Toronto, Ontario – The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), along with labour and social activists, is holding a press conference on Wednesday, May 1, in Toronto, to publicly launch a new campaign.
As the gig economy grows, so does the use of independent contractors who are entirely unprotected. This campaign, believed to be the first of its kind in Canada, will address the rights of these workers.
